Jorge Silva struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Till Kemmling didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Neymarinho. Leopoldo da Mata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Melo in the 12th minute of the match. Neymarinho's Leopoldo da Mata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Melo in the 15th minute of play. After 18 played minutes Neymarinho got a freekick which was hit by Armandinho Cunha. When Benê Lira came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Curima fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benê Lira couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Curima's zone, José Maria de Amorim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Till Kemmling came out of the goal and José Maria de Amorim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 25th match minute, Curima was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmundo Abreu to maneuver through the defense. After 30 played minutes Curima got a freekick which was hit by Tarcisio Lopes. Leopoldo da Mata made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Tarcisio Lopes sent off a good shot on target. 34 minutes into the match, Neymarinho's Hortêncio Teles broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Jorge Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Till Kemmling having to interfere. Leopoldo da Mata made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Tarcisio Lopes sent off a good shot on target. After 44 minutes of play, Neymarinho's Cauan Velasco made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Till Kemmling was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jorge Silva's late challenge caught a Curima's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Silva helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th minute, Jorge Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

If Jorge Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tarcisio Lopes kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. The supporters of Neymarinho booed when Curima was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tarcisio Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Neymarinho's Jorge Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 64 minutes into the match, Neymarinho's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Melo came free, but Leopoldo da Mata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Neymarinho fans' excitement grew in the 70th match minute when Neymarinho's José Maria de Amorim looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 80 minutes into the match, Curima's goal looked a bit too open when José Maria de Amorim came free, but Till Kemmling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 82 played minutes Neymarinho got a freekick which was hit by Acácio Zonta. In the 87th minute Tarcisio Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo da Mata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leopoldo da Mata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tarcisio Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hortêncio Teles hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Neymarinho had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
