In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind PRATINHA's goalkeeper Nestor Couto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maurício Silva was the one to do the kick off.
