Inugami's Murilo Lima managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Luiz Guilherme Meireles in the 8 minute of the game. Jonas Cardozo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ademar da Fonseca's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Ademar da Fonseca put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jonas Cardozo. Dino Nunes hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After 14 played minutes, Inugami's Jorge Cavalcante shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonas Cardozo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Inugami reached it. In the 15th minute, Walmir de Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the match, Bola Bola's goal looked a bit too open when Murilo Lima came free, but Jonas Cardozo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonas Cardozo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valério Leme's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. The audience was convinced that Ademar da Fonseca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonas Cardozo was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Bola Bola's Silas Donatello was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 37th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 47th minute Ademar da Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Cardozo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ademar da Fonseca was the one to do the kick off. Jonas Cardozo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ademar da Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Jonas Cardozo was a little too slow when Valério Leme got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 70th minute. The score was now 1-3. Marcelo Pirani kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ademar da Fonseca in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonas Cardozo saved Bola Bola from getting behind. Valério Leme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonas Cardozo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ademar da Fonseca's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. Inugami played a much better game than Bola Bola and deserved their victory. The Bola Bola players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
