Sandrinho do Nascimento made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miguel Travassos in the 41st minute. Edu Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edu Medeiros was the one to do the kick off. In the 72nd minute, Edu Medeiros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sandrinho do Nascimento was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Rogério Lima blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Donato Queirós having to make a save. Sandrinho do Nascimento stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fred Toscano's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. 94 minutes into the match, Ituano Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Toscano came free, but Sandrinho do Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There was no doubt that Cosmos FC were the better team. Cosmos FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
