Bola Bola's Jonas Cardozo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Naldo Trevisan in the 3rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hernani Rocha got free with Jonas Cardozo in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 5 played minutes Bola Bola got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Pirani. Serafim Marques recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonas Cardozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naldo Trevisan in the 13th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Bola Bola's goalkeeper Jonas Cardozo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hernani Rocha. Luiz Guilherme Meireles lost his temper 32 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 31 minutes into the game, one of Bola Bola:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 34 minutes, Leão da Serra FC's Antônio Carlos Lara got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jonas Cardozo. With a little luck, Bola Bola's Jonas Cardozo got control of the ball when Serafim Marques tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Bola Bola's Cesinha Machado got a free kick in the 39th minute. If Naldo Trevisan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Leão da Serra FC fans' excitement grew in the 42nd match minute when Leão da Serra FC's Serafim Marques looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Walmir de Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bola Bola's supporters rose to their feet, but Walmir de Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdir Damião breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Serafim Marques made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Leão da Serra FC's Antônio Carlos Lara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonas Cardozo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Valdir Damião made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silas Donatello in the 53rd minute. In the 58th minute, Serafim Marques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leão da Serra FC's Hernani Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonas Cardozo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Serafim Marques's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Bola Bola's Jonas Cardozo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Naldo Trevisan in the 67th minute of play. Jonas Cardozo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafim Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 70 minutes into the game, Hernani Rocha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Leão da Serra FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bola Bola the free kick. The supporters of Bola Bola booed when Leão da Serra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernani Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Leão da Serra FC's goal looked a bit too open when Silas Donatello came free, but Valdir Damião reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matheus Figueiredo charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matheus Figueiredo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Bola Bola getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Matheus Figueiredo hit a great ball. Hernani Rocha took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonas Cardozo. Jonas Cardozo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 4-0 became the score in the 93rd minute when Naldo Trevisan elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Leão da Serra FC had won after a very even match.
