A collision led to Ibuguacu getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Elano Jacinto hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the match, Ibuguacu's goalkeeper Zé Augusto Duarte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zé Pedro Meirelles. A hard shot 24 in the game by Zé Pedro Meirelles from a close distance when the talented Zé Augusto Duarte managed to make a qualified save. Ibuguacu's players were relieved. After 27 played minutes Ibuguacu got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Sergipano. Zé Augusto Duarte was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Zé Pedro Meirelles capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zé Pedro Meirelles really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. After having played for 34 minutes, Horácio Vinhas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Perdidos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horácio Vinhas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Wágner Cerezo notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Ibuguacu's Zé Augusto Duarte. Zé Augusto Duarte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Zé Augusto Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horácio Vinhas in the 43rd minute of play. Wágner Cerezo hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sydney de Senna to strike the kick off in the second half. Zé Augusto Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Pedro Meirelles in the 52nd minute of play. After 54 minutes, Osmar Quintal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ibuguacu and the Perdidos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sydney de Senna struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Mário de Medeiros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ibuguacu. After 63 played minutes Ibuguacu got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Sergipano. Zé Pedro Meirelles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Augusto Duarte having to interfere. Ibuguacu's Zé Augusto Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horácio Vinhas in the 67th minute of play. 4-0 became the score in the 68th minute when Zé Pedro Meirelles elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Zé Augusto Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Pedro Meirelles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Horácio Vinhas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ibuguacu's zone, Horácio Vinhas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Augusto Duarte came out of the goal and Horácio Vinhas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Raúl Luz charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raúl Luz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Perdidos FC booed when Ibuguacu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raúl Luz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zé Augusto Duarte came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Perdidos FC's Horácio Vinhas. But to his dismay, Horácio Vinhas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Horácio Vinhas struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Zé Augusto Duarte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Perdidos FC. After 87 minutes of play Ibuguacu's Osmar Quintal was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 87th minute, Osmar Quintal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 89 minutes into the match, Ibuguacu's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Pedro Meirelles came free, but Zé Augusto Duarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zé Augusto Duarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horácio Vinhas, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Horácio Vinhas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
