In the 14th play minute Luiz Paulo Castro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Benê Aguiar. 3-0. Delta FC's Benê Aguiar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Delta FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luiz Seco in the 26th minute of play forced Delta FC's goalkeeper Benê Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benê Aguiar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Luiz Seco in the 27th minute. After 32 played minutes Delta FC got a freekick which was hit by Gugu Paulista. Pedro Luiz Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benê Aguiar having to interfere. 43 minutes into the game, Luiz Paulo Castro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Benê Aguiar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Benê Aguiar made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Luiz Paulo Castro sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luiz Paulo Castro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Delta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Paulo Castro came free, but Benê Aguiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Paulo Castro scored 5-0 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benê Aguiar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 62 minutes into the game, Luiz Paulo Castro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Benê Aguiar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 76th match minute, Delta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Válbson de Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. When Luiz Paulo Castro came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Consuelo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Paulo Castro couldn't finish the play. Benê Aguiar came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Consuelo's Luiz Paulo Castro. But to his dismay, Luiz Paulo Castro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Delta FC's goalkeeper Benê Aguiar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Consuelo's Pedro Luiz Seco got a free kick in the 89th minute. Benê Aguiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Paulo Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A sloppy throw-in by Bruninho Duarte in the 95th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Delta FC's Válbson de Queiroz. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Consuelo had played much better football throughout.
