Delta FC's Benê Aguiar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Delta FC from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Agostinho Pombal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boleiros FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Agostinho Pombal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benê Aguiar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Delfim Vinhas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Agostinho Pombal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Benê Aguiar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agostinho Pombal in the 37th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Delfim Vinhas was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Boleiros FC booed when Delta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademar de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Geovânio Simões charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geovânio Simões the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Boleiros FC booed when Delta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovânio Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 83 minutes, João Paulo Dias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Boleiros FC and the Delta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 83 played minutes Boleiros FC got a freekick which was hit by João Paulo Dias. Boleiros FC's Rogério Tinoco was substituted for Agostinho Pombal. Boleiros FC's João Paulo Dias got his second yellow card of the match in the 88th minute. The referee ordered João Paulo Dias off the ground. Benê Aguiar came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Boleiros FC's Rogério Tinoco. But to his dismay, Rogério Tinoco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Benê Aguiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogério Tinoco in the 95th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Delfim Vinhas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Delta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Delfim Vinhas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luisinho Meireles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee ended the match the Boleiros FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
