In the 12th minute, Fabiano Marques reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nelson Furtado. The goal made the score 1-0. Gomão EC's Nelson Furtado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabiano Marques in the 16th minute of play. Nelson Furtado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabiano Marques in the 18th minute of play. Humberto Corrêa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Baltazar da Rocha went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 26 played minutes Gomão EC got a freekick which was hit by Caio Amorim. A hard shot by David Sarmento from long distance, 27 minutes into the match, got Nelson Furtado's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Humberto Corrêa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltazar da Rocha in the 32nd minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Fabiano Marques notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Gomão EC's Nelson Furtado. Nelson Furtado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. David Sarmento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Furtado having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Fabiano Marques dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nelson Furtado, 3-1. Hélio Vander hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Tadeu Donatello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

52 minutes into the match, Gomão EC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabiano Marques came free, but Nelson Furtado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cléberson Pirani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacuipense's David Sarmento got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nelson Furtado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Sarmento in the 59th minute of the match. Nelson Furtado came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Jacuipense's Fabiano Marques. But to his dismay, Fabiano Marques quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. The supporters of Jacuipense booed when Gomão EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Romero didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute, David Sarmento sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Gomão EC's Nelson Furtado didn't even have to move. Nelson Furtado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabiano Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Sarmento struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Nelson Furtado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jacuipense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabiano Marques in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nelson Furtado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Moisés Meira hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. The supporters of Gomão EC booed when Jacuipense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moisés Cerezo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Jacuipense getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Ediberto Messias hit a great ball. Fabiano Marques charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fabiano Marques the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fabiano Marques kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
