Vicente Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Jacinto Azeredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Faustão Romero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Combate Fire's Fernandão Saraiva quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Joãozinho Sexto, made in the 11th minute of the game. Jacinto Azeredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serginho Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 18th minute, Joãozinho Sexto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacinto Azeredo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Faustão Romero made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Eduardo Rodrigues sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Flamengo FC's Faustão Romero got control of the ball when Eduardo Rodrigues tried to sneak it across the goal line. When João Pedro Branco came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Combate Fire fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Pedro Branco couldn't finish the play. Rony Andrade struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Jacinto Azeredo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flamengo FC. 35 minutes into the match, Paulino Sacristán notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Combate Fire's Jacinto Azeredo. Jacinto Azeredo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Silva in the 39th minute of play forced Combate Fire's goalkeeper Jacinto Azeredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd match minute, Combate Fire was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Pedro Branco to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 44 in the game by Eduardo Rodrigues from a close distance when the talented Faustão Romero managed to make a qualified save. Flamengo FC's players were relieved. If Serginho Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Joãozinho Sexto came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Flamengo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joãozinho Sexto couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eduardo Rodrigues to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Vítor da Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flamengo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vítor da Silva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacinto Azeredo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpected shot in the 56th minute by Rony Andrade got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Combate Fire's Jacinto Azeredo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Combate Fire from getting a goal against them. Jacinto Azeredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joãozinho Sexto in the 67th minute of the match. Vicente Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulino Sacristán recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vicente Silva came free with the goalkeeper in the 97th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jacinto Azeredo could save by the left post. Flamengo FC played a much better game than Combate Fire and deserved their victory. The Combate Fire players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
