An unexpectedly hard shot by Albertinho Camargo in the 20th minute of play forced Peladeiros FC's goalkeeper Claudinho Macedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudinho Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cléberson Pirani, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Baltazar da Rocha took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claudinho Macedo. Claudinho Macedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 35 minutes into the game, Gomão EC's Albertinho Camargo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claudinho Macedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 40th minute Baltazar da Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinho Macedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Peladeiros FC's Fiori Fernandes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nelson Furtado. That made the score 1-3 after 44 minutes of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fiori Fernandes to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Peladeiros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cléberson Pirani came free, but Claudinho Macedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexsandro Ferreira hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Claudinho Macedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeu Donatello in the 80th minute of the match. In the 81st match minute, Peladeiros FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexsandro Ferreira to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baltazar da Rocha got free with Claudinho Macedo in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Cléberson Pirani kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Claudinho Macedo. That made the score 1-5 in the 84 minute of play. Gomão EC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
