Spectators: 5149 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fabiano Marques kicked off to start the match. Fabiano Marquess short, quick shot in the 4thth minute got Léo Lago to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Medianeira's Vágner do Valle got a free kick in the 5th minute. A hard shot 6 in the game by Fabiano Marques from a close distance when the talented Léo Lago managed to make a qualified save. Medianeira's players were relieved. 10 minutes into the match, Jacuipense's goal looked a bit too open when Evaristo Gaspar came free, but Humberto Corrêa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélio Vander in the 13th minute of play forced Medianeira's goalkeeper Léo Lago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Elder Figueiredo fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Medianeira's protests and gave Elder Figueiredo a yellow card for diving instead. Elder Figueiredo hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. A collision led to Jacuipense getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Betão Tande hit a great ball. Humberto Corrêa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Alagoano in the 19th minute of the match. Dito Arósio hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Evaristo Gaspar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 1-2 became the score in the 35th minute when Evaristo Gaspar elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Léo Lago acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 40th minute, took the ball on the long shot from David Sarmento. After a defensive mix-up in Medianeira's zone, Fabiano Marques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Léo Lago came out of the goal and Fabiano Marques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jacuipense's Humberto Corrêa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Gaspar in the 44th minute of play. Natã de Almeida charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Natã de Almeida the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 45 played minutes Medianeira got a freekick which was hit by Natã de Almeida. In the 48th match minute, Medianeira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vágner do Valle to maneuver through the defense.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Evaristo Gaspar to make the kick off. David Sarmento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Léo Lago having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabiano Marques in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Léo Lago saved Medianeira from getting behind. Humberto Corrêa made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Elder Figueiredo sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Jacuipense getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. David Sarmento hit a great ball. Evaristo Gaspar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 59 minutes, Hélio Vander mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jacuipense and the Medianeira players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Jacuipense's Hélio Vander got a free kick in the 59th minute. Humberto Corrêa was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Léo Nascimento. In the 62nd minute, Hélio Vander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that David Sarmento's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Léo Lago was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. In the 73rd minute of the match, Haroldo Alagoano got a very nice opportunity to score, but Humberto Corrêa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, Medianeira's Vágner do Valle got a free kick in the 75th minute. Humberto Corrêa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Haroldo Alagoano in the 77th minute. Moisés Cerezo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacuipense's Ediberto Messias got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Medianeira's Vágner do Valle got his second yellow card of the match in the 84th minute. The referee ordered Vágner do Valle off the ground. After 85 played minutes Medianeira got a freekick which was hit by Vágner do Valle. With a little luck, Jacuipense's Humberto Corrêa got control of the ball when Haroldo Alagoano tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Jacuipense's Hélio Vander got a free kick in the 88th minute. Haroldo Alagoano struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Humberto Corrêa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Medianeira. After having played for 93 minutes, Fabiano Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jacuipense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabiano Marques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Medianeira's Léo Lago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moisés Cerezo in the 97th minute of play.
