The tension between the Medianeira and the Peladeiros FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 78th minute of the game. One of Medianeira:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Peladeiros FC:s goal. The referee gave Peladeiros FC a penalty, 80 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Adhemar Neves, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Medianeira's Léo Lago. 2-4. Claudinho Macedo came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Medianeira's Haroldo Alagoano. But to his dismay, Haroldo Alagoano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. Haroldo Alagoano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 97 minutes into the match, Peladeiros FC's goalkeeper Claudinho Macedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Haroldo Alagoano. A collision led to Peladeiros FC getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Gonçalo dos Santos hit a great ball. Medianeira's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
