Fiori Fernandes might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marquinhos Mendonça. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fiori Fernandes ran back to his position shaking his head. Itapissuma's Marquinhos Mendonça proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Itapissuma from getting a goal against them. In the 9th match minute, Itapissuma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fábio Alvarenga to maneuver through the defense. Ricardo da Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Claudinho Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marquinhos Mendonça stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fiori Fernandes's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. When Fiori Fernandes fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peladeiros FC's protests and gave Fiori Fernandes a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Itapissuma booed when Peladeiros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fiori Fernandes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fiori Fernandes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 48thth minute, Marquinhos Mendonça skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luizão Alvarenga made a kick off. The Peladeiros FC fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when Peladeiros FC's Fiori Fernandes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 58thth minute of the game Fiori Fernandes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Itapissuma's Marquinhos Mendonça was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ricardo da Rocha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luizão Alvarenga succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 63rd playminute. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Luizão Alvarenga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itapissuma's supporters rose to their feet, but Luizão Alvarenga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudinho Macedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Itapissuma's Luiz Eduardo Ramalho got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Peladeiros FC booed when Itapissuma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Eduardo Ramalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hudson Perez kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fiori Fernandes in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marquinhos Mendonça saved Itapissuma from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Fiori Fernandes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marquinhos Mendonça was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fiori Fernandes in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marquinhos Mendonça saved Itapissuma from getting behind. Fiori Fernandes took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marquinhos Mendonça. Marquinhos Mendonça dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fiori Fernandes in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marquinhos Mendonça prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
