Vendramini Team's João Carlos Motta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Vendramini Team from getting a goal against them. Gilvan Félix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juninho Barreto in the 15th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Vendramini Team's Hortêncio Eger got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 22nd minute, Juninho Barreto made a precise shot to the right of Gilvan Félix. Guadala's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Juninho Barreto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilvan Félix having to interfere. João Carlos Motta stood somewhat misplaced when Rubinho Antunes came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 42 minute. Hortêncio Eger's late challenge caught a Guadala's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hortêncio Eger helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Vendramini Team's Hortêncio Eger got a free kick in the 44th minute. Rubinho Antunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luiz Fábio França to make the kick off. When Zé Roberto Montenegro fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guadala's protests and gave Zé Roberto Montenegro a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Guadala's Zé Roberto Montenegro got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 74th minute, Juninho Barreto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Duda de Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. João Carlos Motta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The long shot by Murillo Domingues in the 88th minute really tested Gilvan Félix's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Luiz Fábio França's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilvan Félix read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Guadala's zone, Juninho Barreto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilvan Félix came out of the goal and Juninho Barreto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gilvan Félix made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Juninho Barreto sent off a good shot on target.
