An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelinho Massa in the 10th minute of play forced Tacaia SC's goalkeeper Leonardo Capixaba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caio de Mendonça recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Marcelinho Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 19 minutes, Caio de Mendonça mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RiverFolia and the Tacaia SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Caio de Mendonça hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Oliver Bierhoff stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jaime Souto's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcelinho Massa in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonardo Capixaba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Clóvis Sergipano kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Marcelinho Massa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonardo Capixaba. Tacaia SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcelinho Massa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Eugênio Romeros short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Leonardo Capixaba to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Leonardo Capixaba was a little too slow when Eugênio Romero got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 3-0. Marcelinho Massa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 49th minute of the match, but Leonardo Capixaba made a huge save.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcelinho Massa to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eugênio Romero in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonardo Capixaba saved Tacaia SC from getting behind. Leonardo Capixaba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelinho Massa in the 55th minute of play. After 63 minutes of play, RiverFolia's Marcelinho Massa made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leonardo Capixaba was left in no man's land by his defense there! Clóvis Sergipano kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 75th minute Marcelinho Massa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Capixaba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelinho Massa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Marcelinho Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonardo Capixaba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelinho Massa, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. RiverFolia's Eugênio Romero got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leonardo Capixaba didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcelinho Massa went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. Leonardo Capixaba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelinho Massa in the 88th minute of play. Marcelinho Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Capixaba having to interfere. There was no doubt that RiverFolia were the better team. RiverFolia's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
