Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Kaká Paraibano took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chiquinho Berger in the 18th minute of play forced Hammonia's goalkeeper Luís Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hammonia's Anselmo Munhoz managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ademar Pinheiro in the 20 minute of the game. Tião Veloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaká Paraibano in the 24th minute of the match. Chiquinho Berger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Luís Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hammonia's Luís Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adilson Nascimento in the 42nd minute of play. After the first half Ferraz were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adilson Nascimento to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Adilson Nascimento made a precise shot to the right of Luís Queirós. Hammonia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 55th minute of the match, Chiquinho Berger got a very nice opportunity to score, but Luís Queirós was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 62nd minute, Adilson Nascimento reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luís Queirós. The goal made the score 0-4. Jardel Sarmento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Tião Veloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 67 minutes into the game, Jardel Sarmento cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Tião Veloso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luís Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adilson Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jardel Sarmento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hammonia's attentive Anselmo Munhoz managed to snatch the ball when Ademar Pinheiro made a throw-in in the 83rd minute of the game. With an all-out effort, Ferraz's Luís Queirós threw himself towards the right post 86 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Adilson Nascimento, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 89 played minutes Ferraz's Chiquinho Berger stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Luís Queirós stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Hammonia of the goal.
