Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frank Sarmento showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Marcelinho Branco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Maria Nunes having to make a save. A collision led to Jaraguary AD getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Nando Moreira hit a great ball. José Maria Nunes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelinho Branco in the 10th minute. Edu Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. José Maria Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Trocary booed when Jaraguary AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fabiano Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benedito Varela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 20 played minutes Jaraguary AD got a freekick which was hit by Jeferson Severo. The crowd rose to their feet as Trocary's Marcelinho Branco slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of José Maria Nunes. That made the score 1-0 after 22 minutes of play. Trocary's Frank Sarmento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mário Novaes in the 27th minute of play. After having played for 32 minutes, Benedito Varela managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trocary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benedito Varela was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frank Sarmento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nando Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute Mário Novaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Edu Silva made the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the game, Luisão Motta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Trocary's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jaraguary AD the free kick. José Maria Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedito Varela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 61 minutes Jaraguary AD's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Edu Silva who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Edu Silva almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Jaraguary AD's José Maria Nunes did a great save. Nando Moreira scored 1-1 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frank Sarmento, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Frank Sarmento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mário Novaes in the 67th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeferson Severo got free with Frank Sarmento in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edu Silva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Maria Nunes having to make a save. In the 72nd minute, Luís Fabiano Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jaraguary AD's goalkeeper José Maria Nunes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Jaraguary AD's Nando Moreira got a free kick in the 79th minute. A collision led to Trocary getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Benedito Varela hit a great ball.
