Charqueada EC's Rubens Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Augusto Travassos in the 5th minute of play. When Marquinhos Cardozo fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Charqueada EC's protests and gave Marquinhos Cardozo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th match minute, Charqueada EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marquinhos Cardozo to maneuver through the defense. When João Augusto Travassos came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Granja SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Augusto Travassos couldn't finish the play. 19 minutes into the match, Charqueada EC's goal looked a bit too open when João Augusto Travassos came free, but Rubens Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nestor de Sena got free with Rubens Neves in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 28th minute, Hudson Vides hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Charqueada EC's Renato de Toledo tried to score from far away in the 29th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to Charqueada EC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Adriano Vargas hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emílio Mendonça during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Granja SC booed when Charqueada EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emílio Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yan Neto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Rubens Neves made a huge save. Rubens Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Augusto Travassos in the 41st minute of play. Yan Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

In the 63rd minute, Claudinei Abraão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Augusto Travassos in the 68th minute of play forced Charqueada EC's goalkeeper Rubens Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers João Augusto Travassos in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rubens Neves saved Charqueada EC from getting behind. Rubens Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yan Neto in the 73rd minute of play. Charqueada EC's Rubens Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Augusto Travassos in the 77th minute of play. After some careless play in the Granja SC defense, Adriano Vargas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elder de Barros. The Granja SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elder de Barros should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hamílton Valadares during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Granja SC booed when Charqueada EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamílton Valadares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rubens Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Augusto Travassos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 87 played minutes Granja SC got a freekick which was hit by Hudson Vides. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
