Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Kaká Paraibano made the kick off and thus started the match. 7 minutes into the match, Hammonia's goal looked a bit too open when Sandrinho da Costa came free, but Luís Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Waldemar de Medeiros came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Hammonia's Jardel Sarmento. But to his dismay, Jardel Sarmento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Hammonia's Luís Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandrinho da Costa in the 16th minute of play. Kaká Paraibano might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Waldemar de Medeiros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kaká Paraibano ran back to his position shaking his head. Waldemar de Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaká Paraibano in the 25th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Paulinho de Lima ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Queirós was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The Hammonia fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when Hammonia's Kaká Paraibano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jardel Sarmento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 48 minutes into the match, Carnaubal's goal looked a bit too open when Kaká Paraibano came free, but Waldemar de Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.
The wind increased when Paulinho de Lima made the kick off in the second half. If Kaká Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th minute Jardel Sarmento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldemar de Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th match minute, Hammonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeu Abraão to maneuver through the defense. Hammonia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Sandrinho da Costa scored to the left of an out of position Luís Queirós, making the score, 3-3. When Anselmo Munhoz fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hammonia's protests and gave Anselmo Munhoz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 65th match minute, Hammonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Munhoz to maneuver through the defense. Sandrinho da Costa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Luís Queirós made a huge save. Kaká Paraibano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 75 minutes, Paulinho de Lima made it 3-4 with a short kick to the right side. Hammonia's Luís Queirós tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Kaká Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Waldemar de Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jardel Sarmento, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Kaká Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Waldemar de Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kaká Paraibano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jardel Sarmento came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Hammonia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jardel Sarmento couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Carnaubal's zone, Kaká Paraibano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waldemar de Medeiros came out of the goal and Kaká Paraibano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Waldemar de Medeiros came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Hammonia's Jardel Sarmento. But to his dismay, Jardel Sarmento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-4. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Hammonia fully deserved thier win.
