A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, SC Arapuca's Dino Alvarenga got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 23 minutes into the game, Charqueada EC's Sílvio Luiz Motta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ernani de Moraes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Sílvio Luiz Motta kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After 30 minutes, Adriano Vargas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Charqueada EC and the SC Arapuca players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th minute, Dino Alvarenga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Charqueada EC's Renato de Toledo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 35th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SC Arapuca. Emílio Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernani de Moraes having to interfere. Ernani de Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Luiz Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Sílvio Luiz Motta made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Bruninho Sarmento cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Rubens Neves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 57 minutes into the game, Marquinhos Cardozo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Charqueada EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Arapuca the free kick. The supporters of SC Arapuca booed when Charqueada EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marquinhos Cardozo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute, Oséias Nunes sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Charqueada EC's Rubens Neves didn't even have to move. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Sílvio Luiz Motta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Charqueada EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sílvio Luiz Motta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernani de Moraes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Charqueada EC's zone, Bruninho Sarmento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rubens Neves came out of the goal and Bruninho Sarmento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hamílton Valadares charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hamílton Valadares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 82 played minutes Charqueada EC got a freekick which was hit by Hamílton Valadares. Falcão Messias hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Charqueada EC's Rubens Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruninho Sarmento in the 90th minute of play. Jardel Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Charqueada EC's Renato de Toledo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 93rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ernani de Moraes but with some difficulty. Bruninho Sarmento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubens Neves having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
