Yan Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. José Maria Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Augusto Travassos had several of the Jaraguary AD's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 14 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed José Maria Nunes as he didn't even see the shot coming. When Hudson Vides fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Granja SC's protests and gave Hudson Vides a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Jaraguary AD booed when Granja SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hudson Vides didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute, Claudinho Gerber sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Granja SC's Elder de Barros didn't even have to move. With an all-out effort, Granja SC's José Maria Nunes threw himself towards the right post 30 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from João Augusto Travassos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 32nd minute, Jeferson Severo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Augusto Travassos in the 38th minute of play forced Jaraguary AD's goalkeeper José Maria Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Maria Nunes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but João Augusto Travassos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 41 minute of play. José Maria Nunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Augusto Travassos, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. If Mário Novaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mário Novaes to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Jaraguary AD's zone, Yan Neto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Maria Nunes came out of the goal and Yan Neto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. José Maria Nunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Augusto Travassos in the 63rd minute of the match. Hudson Vides kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. João Augusto Travassos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Maria Nunes having to make a save. In the 70thth minute of the game Yan Neto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jaraguary AD's José Maria Nunes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. José Maria Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yan Neto in the 72nd minute of play. Luís Fabiano Mendes kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. 74 minutes into the game, Yan Neto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. José Maria Nunes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 84th minute, Mário Novaes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that João Augusto Travassos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Maria Nunes was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. When the referee ended the match the Granja SC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
