Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 4 minutes into the match, Donato de Almeida had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Frank Sarmento. Trocary's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donato de Almeida was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 8th minute, Biriricas's Adelino Nóbrega dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. With a little luck, Trocary's Frank Sarmento got control of the ball when Donato de Almeida tried to sneak it across the goal line. 14 minutes into the game, Marcelinho Branco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Trocary's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Biriricas the free kick. The supporters of Biriricas booed when Trocary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelinho Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 16 minutes, Frank Sarmento successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Trocary's Frank Sarmento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Trocary from getting a goal against them. Edu Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Sandrinho Peres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Benedito Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luisão Motta kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute of the match Fabrício Vidal sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frank Sarmento skillfully saved the ball. In the 34th minute Trocary were awarded a corner. Edu Silva went to the cornerflag to take it. Frank Sarmento made an important save on a dangerous shot by Davi Paraibano in the 37th minute. In the 40th minute Adelino Nóbrega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Davi Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sandrinho Peres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edu Silva in the 49th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edu Silva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 53rd minute, but Sandrinho Peres got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Biriricas hanging dry this time. In the 58th minute, Edu Silva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Trocary fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 67 minutes into the match, Trocary's Marcelinho Branco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sandrinho Peres narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Hermínio Lira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the game, Edu Silva recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sandrinho Peres. Edu Silva showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. 75 minutes into the match, Trocary's goal looked a bit too open when Donato de Almeida came free, but Frank Sarmento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Trocary's Frank Sarmento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino Nóbrega in the 76th minute of play. In the 79th minute Adelino Nóbrega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frank Sarmento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adelino Nóbrega, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After 86th play minutes Donato de Almeida shot 3-2, a short shot which went by Frank Sarmento and just under the crossbar into goal. Frank Sarmento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adelino Nóbrega in the 89th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Biriricas's zone, Marcelinho Branco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sandrinho Peres came out of the goal and Marcelinho Branco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edu Silva in the 93rd minute of play forced Biriricas's goalkeeper Sandrinho Peres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Váldson Tinoco kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Many of Trocary's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Trocary may have spent more time on the ball, but Biriricas were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
