Spectators: 7472 (Terracing: 5605, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Henrique Pontes started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Giovani Cardozo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TRICOLOR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flamengo UK the free kick. The supporters of Flamengo UK booed when TRICOLOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giovani Cardozo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Filipe de Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrique Pontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute Marcel Salgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wolf-Rüdiger Honda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wolf-Rüdiger Honda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcel Salgado in the 10th minute. 15 minutes into the game, Ivo Barbosa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Flamengo UK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TRICOLOR the free kick. After a rather tough play, Flamengo UK's Ivo Barbosa got a free kick in the 16th minute. Pedro Paulo Cunha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Wolf-Rüdiger Honda made a huge save. Wolf-Rüdiger Honda made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Pedro Paulo Cunha sent off a good shot on target. Umberto Vides charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Umberto Vides the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Filipe de Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrique Pontes in the 34th minute of play. Pedro Paulo Cunha made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 39thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Wolf-Rüdiger Honda would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. In the 41st minute of the match TRICOLOR got a corner. Flamengo UK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Denílson Proença ran over to the corner to take the kick. Denílson Proença made a great header on TRICOLOR's corner, it was just that Flamengo UK's Wolf-Rüdiger Honda managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 42nd minute, Flamengo UK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Pedro Paulo Cunha fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Wolf-Rüdiger Honda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Paulo Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Flamengo UK's zone, Marcel Salgado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wolf-Rüdiger Honda came out of the goal and Marcel Salgado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th match minute, Flamengo UK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Araújo to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Paulo Cunha to make the kick off. After 57 played minutes Flamengo UK got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Paraense. Igor Cosme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Filipe de Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flamengo UK's Wolf-Rüdiger Honda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Umberto Vides in the 64th minute of play. Henrique Pontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe de Lara having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedro Paulo Cunha in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wolf-Rüdiger Honda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Henrique Pontes had several of the TRICOLOR's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 75 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-1 score and a disappointed Filipe de Lara as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 81st minute, Donato Araújo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Denílson Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 91st minute, Pedro Paulo Cunha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wolf-Rüdiger Honda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Umberto Vides, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Pedro Paulo Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Paulo Cunha took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wolf-Rüdiger Honda. Wolf-Rüdiger Honda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Flamengo UK players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
