The supporters of Selemengo booed when Taguai FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Nunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Azevedo in the 9th minute of play forced Taguai FC's goalkeeper Norberto Quintal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Norberto Quintal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diguinho do Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Severino Azevedo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Norberto Quintal came out and tried to block the shot, but Severino Azevedo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Azevedo in the 32nd minute of play forced Taguai FC's goalkeeper Norberto Quintal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute, William Tróia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. José Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualter da Cunha having to interfere. Norberto Quintal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diguinho do Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gualter da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Nunes in the 43rd minute of play. William Tróia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Selemengo's zone, Gonçalo Botelho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gualter da Cunha came out of the goal and Gonçalo Botelho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Nunes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Norberto Quintal came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Selemengo's Diguinho do Vale. But to his dismay, Diguinho do Vale quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Norberto Quintal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celsinho Melo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute, Diguinho do Vale left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Selemengo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Norberto Quintal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renato Pitta in the 66th minute of the match. William Tróia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enrique Neves hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute, José Nunes made a precise shot to the right of Gualter da Cunha. Selemengo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Renato Pitta in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Norberto Quintal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Selemengo's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
