The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomé Guerra helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th match minute, Selemengo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomé Guerra to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Seca Litros's Tomás Munhoz got a free kick in the 14th minute. Erasmo de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renato Pitta in the 15th minute of play. Erasmo de Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Linhares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Schmidt in the 19th minute of play forced Selemengo's goalkeeper Gualter da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Richard Schmidt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Gualter da Cunha made a huge save. 22 minutes into the match, Selemengo's goalkeeper Gualter da Cunha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Richard Schmidt. Gualter da Cunha came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Seca Litros's Frédson Arce. But to his dismay, Frédson Arce quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 26th minute of the match, Tomás Munhoz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gualter da Cunha was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorge Vasconcelos got free with Gualter da Cunha in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jorge Vasconcelos took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gualter da Cunha. Gualter da Cunha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diguinho do Vale made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Seca Litros's Anísio Carvalho got a free kick in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Schmidt in the 55th minute of play forced Selemengo's goalkeeper Gualter da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Seca Litros's Erasmo de Senna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Seca Litros from getting a goal against them. After 74 played minutes Seca Litros got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Vasconcelos. Gualter Pinheiro hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. The supporters of Seca Litros booed when Selemengo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renato Pitta didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gualter Pinheiro during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 90 played minutes Seca Litros got a freekick which was hit by Gualter Pinheiro. In the 94th match minute, Seca Litros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulão Santana to maneuver through the defense. Seca Litros's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
