When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

José Nunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 58 minutes into the game, Renato Gomes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Norberto Quintal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 62 minutes, José Nunes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Taguai FC and the TRICOLOR players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Taguai FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. José Nunes hit a great ball. 69 minutes into the game, Casemiro Neves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TRICOLOR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Taguai FC the free kick. In the 69th match minute, TRICOLOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Casemiro Neves to maneuver through the defense. Marcel Salgado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Norberto Quintal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Giovani Cardozo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Norberto Quintal. Taguai FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but William Tróia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lauro Castro lost his temper 87 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee gave TRICOLOR a penalty, 89 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Denílson Proença, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Taguai FC's Norberto Quintal. 7-0. 93 minutes into the match, Umberto Vides had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Norberto Quintal. Taguai FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Umberto Vides was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. Norberto Quintal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giovani Cardozo, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. TRICOLOR's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
