After some careless play in the Ki-golaço defense, Narciso Brodel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rony Ferraz. The Ki-golaço fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rony Ferraz should have stopped the shot. SC Conapool's Luiz Motta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adhemar Azevedo in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Ki-golaço's goalkeeper Rony Ferraz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Douglas Lago. The audience thought a goal was coming when Douglas Lago got free with Rony Ferraz in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Ki-golaço's Alexsandro Porto got a free kick in the 26th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Ki-golaço's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastião Mandrak came free, but Rony Ferraz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ki-golaço's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Douglas Lago scored to the left of an out of position Rony Ferraz, making the score, 2-1. Luiz Motta came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Ki-golaço's Albertinho Tasso. But to his dismay, Albertinho Tasso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Adhemar Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Albertinho Tasso kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Albertinho Tasso to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Ki-golaço getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. With a little luck, SC Conapool's Luiz Motta got control of the ball when Adhemar Azevedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rony Ferraz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui da Rocha in the 96th minute of play.
