After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Sebastião Mandrak managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Conapool's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastião Mandrak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zézinho Teixeira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jean de Amorim got free with Luiz Motta in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 45th minute Sebastião Mandrak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zézinho Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas Lago in the 47th minute of play forced Dalponte FC's goalkeeper Zézinho Teixeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jean de Amorim made a kick off. The supporters of SC Conapool booed when Dalponte FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvério Lago didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zézinho Teixeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastião Mandrak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 61 minutes into the match, Dalponte FC's goalkeeper Zézinho Teixeira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Douglas Lago. Luiz Motta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean de Amorim in the 67th minute of play. Zézinho Teixeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Brodel in the 69th minute of the match. After 73 played minutes, Dalponte FC's Amadeu Neiva shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luiz Motta came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dalponte FC reached it. When Rui da Rocha fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Conapool's protests and gave Rui da Rocha a yellow card for diving instead. In the 77th match minute, SC Conapool was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui da Rocha to maneuver through the defense. SC Conapool's Luiz Motta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean de Amorim in the 79th minute of play. Dalponte FC's Zézinho Teixeira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Dalponte FC from getting a goal against them. In the 82nd minute of the match, Rui da Rocha tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zézinho Teixeira saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Conapool's goalkeeper Luiz Motta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 87th minute, SC Conapool's Rui da Rocha ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zézinho Teixeira. Zézinho Teixeira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. In the 91st minute, Sebastião Mandrak fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Zézinho Teixeira, passed just outside the right post. If Jean de Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The SC Conapool supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Conapool would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
