Ademar Bueno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juninho Prata having to interfere. Joélson Proença hit a great ball. 28 minutes in the game, Gabriel Queirós dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Vasco Ji-Paraná FC's goalkeeper Juninho Prata had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Almir Pereira. Ernani Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Marcelinho Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Joélson Proença dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Juninho Prata, 1-0. Vasco Ji-Paraná FC's Juninho Prata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eurico Vidal in the 46th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Eunapolitano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Didi Lima came free, but Marcelinho Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Juninho Prata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silas Meira in the 53rd minute of play. In the 59th minute, Celsinho de Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the game, Celsinho de Moraes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vasco Ji-Paraná FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Eunapolitano FC the free kick. Almir Pereira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silas Meira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 75th minute, Almir Pereira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juninho Prata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joélson Proença in the 77th minute of the match. Eunapolitano FC were awarded a corner in the 78th minute after Vasco Ji-Paraná FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Almir Pereira took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Ademar Bueno managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Narciso Barbosa hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Almir Pereira in the 86th minute of play forced Vasco Ji-Paraná FC's goalkeeper Juninho Prata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Vasco Ji-Paraná FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Peres came free, but Juninho Prata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juninho Prata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Almir Pereira in the 88th minute of play. After 90 minutes, Narciso Barbosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vasco Ji-Paraná FC and the Eunapolitano FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 91st minute there was a penalty for Eunapolitano FC. Almir Pereira stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Juninho Prata. 2-0. 95 minutes into the game, Almir Pereira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Juninho Prata was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
