In the 4th minute, José Paulo Fernandes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Dark Dragons booed when Macanare FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gláuber Nóbrega didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jardel Bertassi during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jardel Bertassi kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Paulo Fernandes in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lino Matorin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 24th minute, Dark Dragons's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tomé de Souza fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Dark Dragons's Felipe Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hudson Queiroz in the 25th minute of play. If Hudson Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Tomé de Souza kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Felipe Pires. That made the score 1-0 in the 30 minute of play. Dark Dragons's Felipe Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hudson Queiroz in the 34th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Pedro Luís Andrade had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Felipe Pires. Dark Dragons's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro Luís Andrade was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 39th minute, Tomé de Souza reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Felipe Pires. The goal made the score 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hudson Queiroz made a kick off. José Paulo Fernandes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Lino Matorin made a huge save. In the 55th minute, Laerte Almeida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. José Paulo Fernandes might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lino Matorin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Paulo Fernandes ran back to his position shaking his head. 59 minutes into the match, Hudson Queiroz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Felipe Pires. Dark Dragons's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hudson Queiroz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Felipe Pires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hudson Queiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the match, Dark Dragons's Laerte Almeida sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lino Matorin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Macanare FC's Hudson Queiroz got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86th minute, Tomé de Souza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomé de Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Felipe Pires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
