Edmundo de Azevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edmundo de Azevedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 17 played minutes Turkos do RJ got a freekick which was hit by Edmundo de Azevedo. In the 18th match minute, Dark Dragons was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mazinho Peres to maneuver through the defense. Edmundo de Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Felipe Pires didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Turkos do RJ. Edmundo de Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rodriguinho Valadares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dé Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laerte Almeida in the 39th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Edmundo de Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Turkos do RJ's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo de Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felipe Pires breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulo Neiva struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Dark Dragons's Laerte Almeida got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Dé Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Paulo Fernandes in the 55th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Dark Dragons's Alan Penha got a free kick in the 59th minute. Cesinha Meira kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Turkos do RJ's Edmundo de Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cesinha Meira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Dark Dragons getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Pedro Luís Alcântara hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Turkos do RJ's zone, José Paulo Fernandes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dé Almeida came out of the goal and José Paulo Fernandes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Paulo Neiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Paulo Fernandes in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dé Almeida saved Turkos do RJ from getting behind. Dé Almeida stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Laerte Almeida's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
