Marquinhos Sena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Peres, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardinho Tavares in the 10th minute of play forced Eunapolitano FC's goalkeeper Marcelinho Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Claudinho Vaz fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eunapolitano FC's protests and gave Claudinho Vaz a yellow card for diving instead. After 12 played minutes Eunapolitano FC got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Vaz. Eunapolitano FC's Marcelinho Leite proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Eunapolitano FC from getting a goal against them. In the 16th minute, Leonel Peres made a precise shot to the right of Marquinhos Sena. Oiticica FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Mané Prata's late challenge caught a Eunapolitano FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mané Prata helped the player get up and apologised. Mané Prata kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Dráuzio Pinheiro took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcelinho Leite. Marcelinho Leite dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 26 minutes into the match, Oiticica FC's goal looked a bit too open when Almir Pereira came free, but Marquinhos Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 28 minutes into the game, when Murilo Trevisan put in a rough tackle. After 28 played minutes Oiticica FC got a freekick which was hit by Murilo Trevisan. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Almir Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eunapolitano FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Almir Pereira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marquinhos Sena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marquinhos Sena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Almir Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 34 played minutes Oiticica FC got a freekick which was hit by Eugênio do Valle. In the 38th match minute, Eunapolitano FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Vinhas to maneuver through the defense. Cacá Bastos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oiticica FC's Marquinhos Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Almir Pereira in the 44th minute of play. Marcelinho Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardinho Tavares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Almir Pereira in the 52ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marquinhos Sena, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After having played for 54 minutes, Dráuzio Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oiticica FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dráuzio Pinheiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Eunapolitano FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Ademar Bueno hit a great ball. After 56 played minutes, Oiticica FC's Cacá Bastos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcelinho Leite came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Oiticica FC reached it. The supporters of Oiticica FC booed when Eunapolitano FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artur Vinhas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eunapolitano FC's Marcelinho Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dráuzio Pinheiro in the 62nd minute of play. Almir Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dráuzio Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eurico Vidal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marquinhos Sena having to interfere. Marquinhos Sena didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Almir Pereira went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Artur Vinhas during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Eunapolitano FC's Artur Vinhas got a free kick in the 78th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Oiticica FC's zone, Almir Pereira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marquinhos Sena came out of the goal and Almir Pereira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marquinhos Sena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Almir Pereira's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Ricardinho Tavares scored 2-2 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelinho Leite, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcelinho Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dráuzio Pinheiro in the 88th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Oiticica FC's Mané Prata got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Almir Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eunapolitano FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
