Artur Prestes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Guto Brito. PALHAÇADA FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 22 played minutes PALHAÇADA FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabrício Munhoz. 26 minutes into the game, Fabrício Munhoz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PALHAÇADA FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oiticica FC the free kick. The referee ignored Oiticica FC's protests and gave Carlos Alberto Barros a yellow card for diving instead. 39 minutes into the match, Nuno Custódio notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Oiticica FC's Marquinhos Sena. Marquinhos Sena was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuno Custódio couldn't finish the play. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wilian Moraes made a kick off. PALHAÇADA FC's Sandrinho Netto got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. PALHAÇADA FC's Guto Brito proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save PALHAÇADA FC from getting a goal against them. If Wilian Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the game, Dário Saraiva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PALHAÇADA FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oiticica FC the free kick. After 64 played minutes PALHAÇADA FC got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Custódio. Carlos Alberto Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, PALHAÇADA FC's goalkeeper Guto Brito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dráuzio Pinheiro. 73 minutes into the match, Oiticica FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sandrinho Netto came free, but Marquinhos Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute, Nuno Custódio made a precise shot to the right of Marquinhos Sena. Oiticica FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Guto Brito made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Dráuzio Pinheiro sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to PALHAÇADA FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Pedro Barros hit a great ball. Dráuzio Pinheiro took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guto Brito. Guto Brito dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
