The supporters of Dark Dragons booed when PALHAÇADA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristóvão Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Laerte Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Pedro Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felipe Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandrinho Netto in the 19th minute of play. Felipe Pires came out and tried to block the shot, but Sandrinho Netto slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 23rd minute. 26 minutes into the game, Rodriguinho Valadares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dark Dragons's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PALHAÇADA FC the free kick. After 26 played minutes Dark Dragons got a freekick which was hit by Rodriguinho Valadares. In the 33rd minute, Pedro Luís Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dark Dragons's goalkeeper Felipe Pires, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Felipe Pires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Custódio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Basílio de Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. A collision led to PALHAÇADA FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Basílio de Alcântara hit a great ball. Felipe Pires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandrinho Netto in the 71st minute of the match. Dark Dragons's Rodriguinho Valadares got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Paulo Fernandes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 83rd minute of the match Basílio de Alcântara sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Felipe Pires skillfully saved the ball. Laerte Almeida could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Guto Brito made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandrinho Netto in the 91st minute of play forced Dark Dragons's goalkeeper Felipe Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The PALHAÇADA FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
