Guto Brito came out of the goal and Diamantino de Sena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valério de Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandrinho Netto, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 47th minute, Cristóvão Marquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sandrinho Netto was the one to do the kick off. Basílio de Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Yusuf Tokuş received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Alpha F. C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PALHAÇADA FC the free kick. When Nuno Custódio fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PALHAÇADA FC's protests and gave Nuno Custódio a yellow card for diving instead. Guto Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yusuf Tokuş, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute Diamantino de Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guto Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guto Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Braga in the 72nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Diamantino de Sena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alpha F. If Yusuf Tokuş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, PALHAÇADA FC's Basílio de Alcântara got a free kick in the 95th minute.
