When Celsinho de Moraes fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vasco Ji-Paraná FC's protests and gave Celsinho de Moraes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd minute, Celsinho de Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dark Dragons's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Felipe Pires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Dark Dragons's much stronger midfield.
