Spectators: 6873 (Terracing: 5623, Seating: 1200, VIP seats: 50) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Yusuf Tokuş got the match started through his kick off. An unexpected shot in the 5th minute by Oscar Braga got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Turkos do RJ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Yusuf Tokuş scored to the left of an out of position Dé Almeida, making the score, 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yusuf Tokuş in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dé Almeida saved Turkos do RJ from getting behind. Dé Almeida made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Yusuf Tokuş sent off a good shot on target. Vágner Rosado charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vágner Rosado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dé Almeida didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yusuf Tokuş went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Edmundo de Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Diamantino de Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Dé Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Turkos do RJ's Dé Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yusuf Tokuş in the 32nd minute of play. After having played for 41 minutes, Yusuf Tokuş managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alpha F. C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Yusuf Tokuş was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edmundo de Azevedo was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Alpha F. C.'s zone, Edmundo de Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valério de Medeiros came out of the goal and Edmundo de Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valério de Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesinha Meira in the 64th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Diamantino de Sena left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alpha F. C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. 71 minutes into the match, Yusuf Tokuş had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dé Almeida. Turkos do RJ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yusuf Tokuş was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. After having played for 74 minutes, Diamantino de Sena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alpha F. C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Diamantino de Sena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yusuf Tokuş received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Dé Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alpha F. C. made a substitution. Wágner Messias replaced Per Gunnarsson. After 80 minutes, Luciano Meira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Turkos do RJ and the Alpha F. C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Oscar Braga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Alpha F. C. booed when Turkos do RJ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Meira didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Diamantino de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Yusuf Tokuş managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alpha F. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Yusuf Tokuş was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dé Almeida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dé Almeida stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yusuf Tokuş's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Yusuf Tokuş might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dé Almeida. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yusuf Tokuş ran back to his position shaking his head. If Oscar Braga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Alpha F. C. had played much better football throughout.
