Ernani Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Felipe Pires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Dark Dragons getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Pedro Luís Alcântara hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Queirós in the 7th minute of play forced Dark Dragons's goalkeeper Felipe Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gabriel Paranaense fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dark Dragons's protests and gave Gabriel Paranaense a yellow card for diving instead. In the 11th match minute, Dark Dragons was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Paranaense to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute, Gabriel Queirós left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vasco Ji-Paraná FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Didi Lima struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Felipe Pires didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vasco Ji-Paraná FC. After 19 played minutes Vasco Ji-Paraná FC got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Queirós. The supporters of Dark Dragons booed when Vasco Ji-Paraná FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Didi Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celsinho de Moraes hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. José Paulo Fernandes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vasco Ji-Paraná FC's Juninho Prata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laerte Almeida in the 31st minute of play. Dark Dragons's Mazinho Peres got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Didi Lima dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Felipe Pires, 2-0. In the 40th minute of the match, Ernani Amaral got a very nice opportunity to score, but Felipe Pires was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, Vasco Ji-Paraná FC's Didi Lima got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernani Amaral got free with Felipe Pires in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Paulo Fernandes made a kick off. Alan Penha hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Felipe Pires didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gabriel Queirós went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Felipe Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Queirós in the 61st minute of play. Felipe Pires stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gabriel Queirós's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Gabriel Queirós took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Felipe Pires. Felipe Pires dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Ernani Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dark Dragons's goalkeeper Felipe Pires, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Denílson Alagoano's late challenge caught a Vasco Ji-Paraná FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Denílson Alagoano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 86th match minute, Dark Dragons was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denílson Alagoano to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Queirós in the 88th minute of play forced Dark Dragons's goalkeeper Felipe Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Didi Lima scored 5-0 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Felipe Pires, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
