The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Valdomiro Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdomiro Tróia in the 7th minute of play forced Alpha F. C.'s goalkeeper Valério de Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Alpha F. C.'s Valério de Medeiros got control of the ball when Carlos Alberto Travassos tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Dragões Amorosos - FDFDF booed when Alpha F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yusuf Tokuş didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Alpha F. C.'s Yusuf Tokuş got a free kick in the 11th minute. After 13 minutes, Vágner Rosado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alpha F. C. and the Dragões Amorosos - FDFDF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 13 played minutes Alpha F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Vágner Rosado. The referee felt a red card was in order, 15 minutes into the game, when Sílvio Luiz Ortiz put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of Alpha F. C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Dragões Amorosos - FDFDF:s goal. In the 17th minute, Oscar Braga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diamantino de Sena charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diamantino de Sena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Alpha F. C.'s Diamantino de Sena got a free kick in the 24th minute. When the match had been going on for 28 minutes, Dragões Amorosos - FDFDF's Valdomiro Tróia got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Valério de Medeiros. Carlos Alberto Travassos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 36 minutes into the match, Oscar Braga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Didi Dias. Dragões Amorosos - FDFDF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oscar Braga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 39 minutes into the match, Alpha F. C.'s Diamantino de Sena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Didi Dias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 40th minute, Oscar Braga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Didi Dias was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 46th minute, Oscar Braga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valdomiro Tróia made a kick off. After having played for 56 minutes, Vágner Rosado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alpha F. C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Vágner Rosado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Dragões Amorosos - FDFDF's Didi Dias got control of the ball when Oscar Braga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zé Ferraz's late challenge caught a Alpha F. C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zé Ferraz helped the player get up and apologised. Zé Ferraz kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Diamantino de Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st play minute Diamantino de Sena came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Didi Dias. 1-3. Dragões Amorosos - FDFDF's Didi Dias proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Dragões Amorosos - FDFDF from getting a goal against them. Oscar Braga in the 65thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Didi Dias, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Oscar Braga took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Didi Dias to make any attempt to save it. Alpha F. C. made a substitution. Pedro Augusto Prata replaced Walmir Koehler. Alpha F. C.'s Wágner Messias was substituted for Per Gunnarsson. Didi Dias didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diamantino de Sena went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. Didi Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Braga in the 83rd minute of play. In the 87th match minute, Dragões Amorosos - FDFDF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdomiro Tróia to maneuver through the defense. After 90 minutes of play, Alpha F. C.'s Oscar Braga made it 1-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Didi Dias was left in no man's land by his defense there! Yusuf Tokuş hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Carlos Alberto Travassos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Valério de Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alpha F. C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
