But to his dismay, Kaká Cruz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Edinho Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aílton Torres in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd match minute, Poty City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fabiano Esteves to maneuver through the defense. Albino Ilixo lost his temper 44 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 45th minute, Albino Ilixo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Luís Fabiano Esteves's late challenge caught a CISDA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Fabiano Esteves helped the player get up and apologised. If Fred Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fred Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edinho Castro having to interfere.
