The CISDA fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when CISDA's Aílton Torres looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 19th minute, Antonio Ribeiro made a precise shot to the right of César Simões. Espinhal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 22 minutes into the match, CISDA's goal looked a bit too open when Gwidon Dankowski came free, but Sebastião Neiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aílton Torres in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck César Simões prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 26 minutes into the game, Marco Belalcaraz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CISDA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Espinhal the free kick. Thanks to some nice moves Belmiro Pontes could shoot a difficult shot in the 33rd minute, which Sebastião Neiva however easily saved by the left post. Sebastião Neiva made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Belmiro Pontes sent off a good shot on target. Diamantino Catarinense kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Murillo Godoi struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Sebastião Neiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Espinhal. 42 minutes into the game, João Oliveira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Espinhal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CISDA the free kick. In the 42nd match minute, Espinhal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. With an extended leg and a bit of luck César Simões prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Espinhal players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. CISDA were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gwidon Dankowski was the one to do the kick off. Aílton Torres might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over César Simões. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aílton Torres ran back to his position shaking his head. César Simões made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aílton Torres in the 57th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Belmiro Pontes notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of CISDA's Sebastião Neiva. Sebastião Neiva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Antonio Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The Espinhal manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing CISDA to win.
