The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. César Simões was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fernandinho Silva showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. César Simões made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Bengt-Åke Lundqvist sent off a good shot on target. In the 25th minute Belmiro Pontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Willian Penha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gwidon Dankowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 30 minutes into the match, Perebas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gwidon Dankowski came free, but Willian Penha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 32 minutes of play, Espinhal's Gwidon Dankowski made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Willian Penha was left in no man's land by his defense there! Inocencio Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without César Simões having to interfere. In the 41st match minute, Perebas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matheus Sabóia to maneuver through the defense. It was beautiful to see Espinhal's Murillo Godoi in action when he in the 43rd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! An unexpectedly hard shot by Belmiro Pontes in the 45th minute of play forced Perebas FC's goalkeeper Willian Penha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bengt-Åke Lundqvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ariel Chago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without César Simões having to interfere. After 58 played minutes Espinhal got a freekick which was hit by Murillo Godoi. In the 62nd minute, Ariel Chago ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. César Simões was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Murillo Godoi was shown his second yellow card after 66 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. 74 minutes into the match, Espinhal's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Åke Lundqvist came free, but César Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Breno Pimenta kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the game, Matheus Sabóia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Perebas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Espinhal the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Espinhal's zone, Ariel Chago stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. César Simões came out of the goal and Ariel Chago tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bengt-Åke Lundqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Ariel Chago managed to get in a good position for a shot. Perebas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ariel Chago was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. César Simões breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Gwidon Dankowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
