Richard Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diamantino Vides, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Gernando Teles hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Magula Fc's Richard Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diamantino Vides in the 17th minute of play. After 18 minutes, Gernando Teles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Magula Fc and the Chapecoense players grew even worse after the yellow card. Magula Fc's Richard Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diamantino Vides in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Tomé de Toledo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Richard Costa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 25 minutes into the match, Magula Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Diamantino Vides came free, but Richard Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chapecoense's Jeferson Xavier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Meireles in the 27th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leopoldo Meireles in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jeferson Xavier saved Chapecoense from getting behind. 35 minutes into the match, Magula Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Elói Campidelis came free, but Richard Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Leopoldo Meireles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gernando Teles got his second yellow card in the match during the 40th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Magula Fc's Richard Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elói Campidelis in the 43rd minute of play. Elói Campidelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diamantino Vides stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Magula Fc got a freekick which was hit by Celso Félix. 53 minutes into the match, Magula Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Tomé de Toledo came free, but Richard Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Leopoldo Meireles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeferson Xavier was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Walmir Furtado might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jeferson Xavier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Magula Fc's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Elói Campidelis 59 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. The audience was convinced that Diamantino Vides's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Richard Costa was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Diamantino Vides's late challenge caught a Magula Fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diamantino Vides helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Magula Fc booed when Chapecoense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diamantino Vides didn't get a good kick on the ball. Richard Costa made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Chico Silveira sent off a good shot on target. In the 75th minute, Walmir Furtado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diamantino Vides could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Richard Costa made a huge save. Thanks to some nice moves Chico Silveira could shoot a difficult shot in the 80th minute, which Richard Costa however easily saved by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomé de Toledo got free with Richard Costa in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Richard Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diamantino Vides in the 87th minute of play. 88 minutes into the game, Jorginho Penha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chapecoense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Magula Fc the free kick. Jorginho Penha kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diamantino Vides got free with Richard Costa in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the final whistle sounded Chapecoense left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Magula Fc.
