An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Gerber in the 7th minute of play forced Gears of War MZT's goalkeeper Elano Motta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elano Motta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Gerber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the game, Juarês Duarte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zahariz FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gears of War MZT the free kick. A collision led to Zahariz FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Juarês Duarte hit a great ball. Gears of War MZT's Elano Motta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luizão de Mendonça in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Juarês Duarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Percival Prata recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gears of War MZT's Elano Motta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Gears of War MZT from getting a goal against them. In the 23rd minute Luizão de Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elano Motta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hudson Abreu struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Rui Liberato didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gears of War MZT. 33 minutes into the match, Zahariz FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hudson Abreu came free, but Rui Liberato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elano Motta made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Leopoldo Gerber sent off a good shot on target. With an all-out effort, Zahariz FC's Elano Motta threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Frederico Penha, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Leopoldo Gerber succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 38th playminute. After a defensive mix-up in Gears of War MZT's zone, Luizão de Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elano Motta came out of the goal and Luizão de Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rui Liberato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrinho Guimarães in the 46th minute of play. In the 46th match minute, Zahariz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frederico Penha to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

54 minutes into the match, Gears of War MZT's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Gerber came free, but Elano Motta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anísio Sena scored 3-0 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elano Motta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Elano Motta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anísio Sena in the 63rd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Gears of War MZT defense, Frederico Penha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elano Motta. The Gears of War MZT fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elano Motta should have stopped the shot. In the 71st match minute, Zahariz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frederico Penha to maneuver through the defense. Elano Motta came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Zahariz FC's Leopoldo Gerber. But to his dismay, Leopoldo Gerber quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. After 77 played minutes Gears of War MZT got a freekick which was hit by Olívio Trigo. Luizão de Mendonça scored 6-0 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elano Motta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zahariz FC's Rui Liberato proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Zahariz FC from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leopoldo Gerber in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elano Motta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gears of War MZT's Elano Motta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederico Penha in the 95th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Luizão de Mendonça notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Gears of War MZT's Elano Motta. Elano Motta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
