David de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilmar Pirani made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Cauan Leal sent off a good shot on target. Zézinho Urbano scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erivaldo Souto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Xodó da Vovó A.C.'s Zézinho Urbano got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 21st minute, Everton Ribeiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erivaldo Souto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Capitão Poço F.C's Erivaldo Souto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zézinho Urbano in the 23rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Capitão Poço F.C's Norberto do Valle got a free kick in the 26th minute. Zézinho Urbano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erivaldo Souto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Everton Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute David de Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilmar Pirani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 34 minutes, Carlinhos de Andrade mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Xodó da Vovó A.C. and the Capitão Poço F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. Carlinhos de Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Zézinho Urbano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xodó da Vovó A.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Zézinho Urbano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erivaldo Souto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 43 played minutes Xodó da Vovó A.C. got a freekick which was hit by Doriva Dias. Joaquim Saldanha struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Erivaldo Souto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Xodó da Vovó A.C.. After the first half Xodó da Vovó A.C. were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 58 minutes, Zézinho Urbano made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Capitão Poço F.C's Erivaldo Souto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Everton Ribeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Erivaldo Souto made a huge save. Zézinho Urbano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Erivaldo Souto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Xodó da Vovó A.C.'s zone, Téo França stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilmar Pirani came out of the goal and Téo França tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gilmar Pirani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cauan Leal in the 73rd minute of play. Zézinho Urbano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Xodó da Vovó A.C. getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Vágner Campidelis hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Zézinho Urbano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xodó da Vovó A.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Zézinho Urbano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erivaldo Souto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Zézinho Urbano came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Xodó da Vovó A.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zézinho Urbano couldn't finish the play. Erivaldo Souto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastião de Barros in the 85th minute. Everton Ribeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Everton Ribeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 91st match minute, Xodó da Vovó A.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Everton Ribeiro to maneuver through the defense. The Xodó da Vovó A.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Xodó da Vovó A.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
