José Maria Paiva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jarbas Favoretto in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Maria Paiva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Claudinho Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ramón Proença's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Maria Paiva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. If Claudinho Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind KRAKATOA F.C.'s goalkeeper José Maria Paiva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. José Maria Paiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinho Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After a defensive mix-up in KRAKATOA F.C.'s zone, Ramón Proença stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Maria Paiva came out of the goal and Ramón Proença tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of KRAKATOA F.C. booed when Guirapa SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basílio Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guirapa SC's Ramón Proença got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind KRAKATOA F.C.'s goalkeeper José Maria Paiva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. KRAKATOA F.C.'s José Maria Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarbas Favoretto in the 39th minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jarbas Favoretto to make the kick off. A collision led to KRAKATOA F.C. getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Nelson Almeida hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jarbas Favoretto in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Ramón Proença succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 57th playminute. Claudinho Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Maria Paiva having to interfere. Jarbas Favoretto struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. José Maria Paiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guirapa SC. Ramón Proença sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Maria Paiva was a little too slow when Anderson Lima got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 0-3. Basílio Branco kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. José Maria Paiva was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jarbas Favoretto showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 73 minute of play. KRAKATOA F.C.'s José Maria Paiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save KRAKATOA F.C. from getting a goal against them.
