The wind increased when Nando Gerber made the kick off in the second half. Marcinho Quintal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laércio Cardozo in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laércio Cardozo in the 54th minute of play forced Dread Terror's goalkeeper Marcinho Quintal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcinho Quintal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nando Gerber in the 61st minute of the match. Marcinho Quintal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laércio Cardozo, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. A collision led to Dread Terror getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Gilberto Silva hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the game, XV de Piracicaba's Laércio Cardozo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcinho Quintal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Laércio Cardozo struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Germano Vinhas got free with Fernando Quintal in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The XV de Piracicaba players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
