An unexpectedly hard shot by Zézinho Urbano in the 4th minute of play forced Guirapa SC's goalkeeper Gabriel Quadros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guirapa SC's Gabriel Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zézinho Urbano in the 5th minute of play. Everton Ribeiro's late challenge caught a Guirapa SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Everton Ribeiro helped the player get up and apologised. After 11 played minutes Xodó da Vovó A.C. got a freekick which was hit by Everton Ribeiro. In the 12th minute of the match, Ramón Proença got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gilmar Pirani was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 12 played minutes Ramón Proença rounded Xodó da Vovó A.C.'s defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. After a rather tough play, Xodó da Vovó A.C.'s Doriva Dias got a free kick in the 15th minute. Anderson Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Gilmar Pirani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vágner Campidelis's late challenge caught a Guirapa SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vágner Campidelis helped the player get up and apologised. Guirapa SC made a substitution. Marcelo Peres replaced Claudinho Vieira. The supporters of Guirapa SC booed when Xodó da Vovó A.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vágner Campidelis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jarbas Favoretto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guirapa SC's Ramón Proença got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Basílio Branco came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Guirapa SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basílio Branco couldn't finish the play. Xodó da Vovó A.C.'s Gilmar Pirani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Xodó da Vovó A.C. from getting a goal against them. If Jarbas Favoretto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zézinho Urbano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Gabriel Quadros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Gilmar Pirani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarbas Favoretto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jarbas Favoretto might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilmar Pirani. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jarbas Favoretto ran back to his position shaking his head. Isaltino de Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. With a little luck, Guirapa SC's Gabriel Quadros got control of the ball when Zézinho Urbano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gabriel Quadros came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Xodó da Vovó A.C.'s Zézinho Urbano. But to his dismay, Zézinho Urbano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 69 minutes of play, Guirapa SC's Marcelo Peres made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gilmar Pirani was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ramón Proença sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Jarbas Favoretto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilmar Pirani was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Gilmar Pirani didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jarbas Favoretto went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Jarbas Favoretto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 94th minute, Ramón Proença left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guirapa SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1.
