With a left leg Dênis Prestes saved Acarahu EC from getting behind. If Anderson Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jarbas Favoretto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dênis Prestes having to make a save. After 16 minutes, Augusto Tavares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Acarahu EC and the Guirapa SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jarbas Favoretto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guirapa SC's Basílio Branco got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélio Damião in the 67th minute of play forced Guirapa SC's goalkeeper Gabriel Quadros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel Quadros didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hélio Damião went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Basílio Branco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristian Trevisan helped the player get up and apologised. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
